As a lemon lover, I was excited to try this recipe. It was the best I’ve tried in a long time. I didn’t have a Bundt pan so made cupcakes and they were wonderful!! Can’t wait to make again!

Positivity makes every day o much better ♡.
I have made this several times, but in cupcakes. I usually make 12 but you can easily make them in smaller portions. Mini pans make great bite sized treats!
As for the points … it is cake!! This recipe was also found on WW with smaller portions. Try the pumpkin ones with 2 ingredients!
Yes it says 1 pt, but it is still individual responsibility to check first. Stop getting angry at the post, and calculate first. One day with a mistake is not the end of the road.
This is still a much healthier option than a reg cake. Use 0% Greek yogurt. I prefer vanilla and add lemon juice to the water. And then the left over yogurt can be used in place of glaze or whip cream, add berries and yum!
Enjoy!

The cake was delicious. That being said. It scans as 8 points for 1/12 of a slice. Not including the icing. Which I used swerve confectioners sugar. O calorie. Mixed it with lemon juice and drizzled. It does have (Erythritol)
Belinda Mello says
I’ve learned never eat it until you scan it!

I made this mistake once. You use the calculator to figure out the points for the mix, but then that’s what you put into the recipe, but you are making the whole box, not one serving so you have to first multiply the points you get with the food calculator for one serving (10 for the Duncan Hines in the link) by the amount of servings that are actually in the box (10). So it’s 100 points just for the mix, even if you add all 0 point ingredients to it…Greek yogurt, sugar free apple sauce…. you can’t divide 100 by 12 and get 1!!
Theresa says
Like most people have said, with the current WW system, it’s actually 8 points per slice. With that being said, I’ve been doing WW for 15 years, and you pretty much can’t eat cake for only 8 points, so this is still a great option if you can save up points for dessert. Regular cake is going to cost you over double that (unless you always eat fake sugar, and fat free everything).
Tammy says
This cake is awesome! I am not much for lemon cake but this was the exception! And only 3 ingredients for the cake… that is amazing! 1 point, 8 points.. I don’t care. Still a great, simple recipe.
Elle says
3 stars b/c it is delicious, but not 1 point. Hungry Girl has very similar recipes (1 cup non fat greek yogurt, box of cake mix, and 1 c of water) that track at 7 points each, with each box making 12 servings. Your incorrect calculations caused me to blow my points for the day. It was too good to be true.
LeAnn says
Be careful when calculating this cake. Although it’s still a great option for a sweet treat on WW.
When you scan the cake in the app it pulls it as being 43g of mix when it’s actually 432g. That’s probably why the post says it’s 1 point. I made it with no glaze and cut it in 16 pieces to make each piece 6 points. I still think it’s worth it and am SO happy I found this recipe because the cake is AMAZING!
Mariko says
I’m honestly infuriated. Someone should require this recipe poster to take their statements about it being a 1 point per slice weight watcher cake.
She clearly did not enter the correct amount of cake mix to the recipe builder.
My husband and I consumed 2 slices of this a night thinking it was 4 points for 2 slices. I went to build the recipe and it was 8 points per slice!!!
This woman is sabotaging people’s diets.
Aaron says
This NOT a 1 point recipe! When you scan the box it inputs one serving, 1/10 of a box, 43 grams. If you then divide that into 12 servings (1/120th of a box) then yeah, it’s one point. The whole box is 97 points!
Dawn A. says
WARNING: This is NOT 1 point per serving. I put this in the Weight Watcher app, and the lowest I could get it was 8 points per serving. The only way to get it to calculate it at 1 point per serving is to calculate 1 serving of cake mix instead of the whole box. Pillsbury supreme lemon dry cake mix is 82 points for the whole box. It’s 8 points for 1 serving! I think this was probably an honest mistake when calculating points, but wanted to warn others in case they are thinking this is a 1 point cake recipe!!
L Jordan says
Although the cake is moist and delicious, as of 1/19/23, one piece is 8 points. (more with the glaze). Not a good choice when you only have 23 points a day!
Peggy Morris says
Did you use the Weight Watchers cake mix? I think that makes the points low.
sally says
I’m confused. The carbohydrate and sugar numbers per serving of this cake are far great than one point. Can you please explain? Thanks.
Emily V says
Did you calculate the info in WW? I did, and it shows that each slice is 8 points!!!
Emily V says
How does this recipe calculate to 1 point? The calories, fat, sugar, and carbs are way too high for that.
Victoria Jaramillo says
OMG, so I tried this recipe for my Hubby’s birthday to make a healthier cake as we are on WW. It was a HUGE hit, everyone LOVED it and now they want me to make everyone’s cakes this way lol WW aside, this cake is delicious!!!! No one will even be able to tell this a healthier recipe. And the recipe is so versatile!! Thank you for posting this!
Pamm says
It’s not a healthy option, please calculate the points, I did and find that that cake alone is 6 points!!
Kim says
I put the recipe in my WW app and 1/12th cake came to 1 point. I am going to try pineapple next. Everyone loved this cake! Thank you for posting!
Rachel Brubaker Stevens says
The recipe is delicious! However, the points are WRONG—6 points per serving. Unfortunately, I didn’t calculate until after I ate the cake. Not great for weightloss!
BC says
Did not turn out. Doughy, sticky uncooked after 40 minutes. I have made it 3 times. Same results. Disappointed.
