Riesling Peach Glazed Ham is perfect for a big family gathering! The flavors are incredible! Everyone is sure to enjoy this mouth-watering ham!
Riesling-Peach Glazed Ham is the most delectable glazed spiral ham recipe! It’s brushed with a mouthwatering homemade ham glaze made with a combination of sweet Riesling wine and peach preserves, with tangy ground mustard. This baked ham glaze was so good that I had to put the peach glaze on these meatballs too!

Ingredients in Riesling Peach Glazed Ham
- Bone-in half ham (fully cooked)
- Riesling wine
- Fresh thyme
- Shallot
- Peach preserves
- Light brown sugar
- Stone ground mustard
I highly recommend buying a spiral cut smoked ham. The smokey flavors really enhance the taste of this spiral ham recipe and work so well with the sweet and tangy Riesling peach glaze.
How to Make Riesling Peach Glaze
- Start by placing a medium saucepan on your stove. Add the Riesling wine, fresh thyme, and shallot to the saucepan and heat to boiling over medium-high heat.
- Reduce the heat and simmer until the Riesling has reduced by half. Remove the thyme sprigs with a slotted spoon or set of tongs and discard.
- Stir in the peach preserves, brown sugar, and ground mustard, then brush half of the glaze mixture on the ham before cooking. (You’ll add more glaze as the ham cooks.)
How to Cook Ham
- First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and line a roasting pan with foil.
- Next, place the ham on the rack in the roasting pan. Place an ovenproof meat thermometer in the thickest portion of the ham.
- Brush the ham with half of the Riesling peach glaze and bake it uncovered for an hour and a half, basting the spiral ham with more glaze every half hour.
- After the ham has baked for 90 minutes, loosely cover it with foil and bake it for another 30 minutes or until your meat thermometer reads 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Remove the ham from the oven, then let it rest for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Slice, serve, and enjoy!

So I need to cook my ham first and then cook it an additional 2 hours? Sorry I’m not understanding :/
Aubrey says
No, Patty. The majority of the ham you purchase at the grocery store has already been cooked. If you read the label on you ham it should say that it’s pre-cooked but you need to warm it to a specific temperature. That’s what it being referenced in this recipe.
Molly says
You buy the ham pre-cooked 🙂
Crystal Hewitt says
always add anything with sugar last. the sugar will cause your ham to burn if you add it to early usually the last thirty minutes
