Why choose between two Thanksgiving favorites when you can have both with this easy, no-bake dessert recipe? Start a New Tradition with Pumpkin Cheesecake Dip!
Holiday Desserts lean heavily on all the pies: Pecan Pie, Apple Pie, Cherry Pie, Chocolate Pie, Sweet Potato Pie, Pumpkin Pie, etc. That’s just one of the reasons we love this scrumptious Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake mousse! It’s a different dessert from pie and can be served as an appetizer or snack!
Another reason we love it is how super simple it is to make! Thanksgiving and Christmas cooking can get crazy! There are so many dishes, so many ingredients, and so on. MUCH. TIME. IN. THE. KITCHEN. A pumpkin pie alone can take 15 or more ingredients and over an hour to make! But not this Pumpkin Cheesecake Fluff—five minutes, five ingredients, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and it’s spectacular and ready to serve!
Other Recipes to Serve with Pumpkin Pie Dip
- If sugar cookies and gingerbread had a baby, it would be these Molasses Sugar Cookies! Perfect for dipping in Pumpkin Pie Dip!
- Autumn favorite, Cinnamon French Toast Waffles, are soft and crispy on the outside. They’d be even more amazing with a dollop of Pumpkin Cheesecake fluff on top!
Ingredients
Pumpkin Pie: A can of pumpkin puree (NOT pumpkin pie filling!) plus some pumpkin pie spice give this fluffy dip its traditional flavor!
Cheesecake: Cream cheese, baby! Regular, block-style full-fat cream cheese is the foundation for every cheesecake, including this pumpkin cheesecake dip!
Dip: A whipped topping (like Cool Whip) makes this dessert dip creamy, light, and fluffy—perfect for dipping!
Sweetness: Confectioner’s (powdered) sugar blends with the pumpkin puree and cream cheese to give the perfect sweetness.
Garnish: I like to top this dip with just a sprinkle of cinnamon (you could also use nutmeg or grated white chocolate if you prefer). The cinnamon adds to the fall flavors!
How to Make Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake Dip
STEP ONE: Set out all ingredients 30 minutes to an hour ahead of time until room temperature.
STEP TWO: Mix all the ingredients (by hand or gently with a hand mixer) in a medium bowl.
STEP THREE: Serve with your favorite dipping items and enjoy as a dessert or appetizer!
Tips for Success
- This dip needs regular cream cheese. Whipped or low-fat will not give you the right creamy consistency.
- Make sure you get pumpkin Puree and not pumpkin pie filling. They look similar and are usually together on the grocery shelf, but they are different!
- Start this recipe with all the ingredients at room temperature for the best result.
- Don’t overwhip the fluff. The key to a super smooth and creamy dip is blending all the ingredients until gently mixed.
How Should I Serve Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake Dip?
What can you dip in this Pumpkin mousse? Try pieces of fresh fruit (apples, pears, grapes, blackberries); crispy cookies (vanilla wafers, ginger snaps or gingerbread, stroopwafels); graham crackers; nuts, etc. Consider a Sweet and salty Charcuterie Board with several of those items!
Pumpkin Pie Dip makes almost anything taste like fall! It’s a Fabulous topping for ice cream, pancakes, waffles, French toast, pound cake, and angel food cake.
Can I Make Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake Dip Ahead of Time?
Absolutely! This fun new holiday favorite will last up to 5 days in the fridge, so if you want to make it in advance, go for it!
However, this ridiculously easy recipe only takes five minutes to complete, and it doesn’t have to be cooked, so you can also make it at the last minute, and it will be a fantastic addition to your family celebration!
