These Glazed Kielbasa Bites are the perfect make ahead, bite-sized appetizer. It has a sweet and salty flavor that people can’t stop eating!
I don’t know about you, but I am SO ready for football season to start. I love spending the weekends with my family and our friends. I’m not into college football so much, but the Cowboys are on every Sunday at our house. (You can take the girl out of Texas, but you can’t take the Texas out of the girl.) We everyone comes over, I like to put out a big spread of munchie foods so we can graze all day and a pitcher cocktail like my Strawberry & Lime Moscato Punch. One of my most requested appetizers are these Glazed Kielbasa Bites. I make them practically every other week during the fall and they’re always the first thing to disappear.

One of my favorite things about this appetizer is how easy it is to make. Once you cut the kielbasa and pineapple all you have to do is assemble the bites, mix up the glaze and bake. My boys love helping me in the kitchen so once the knife work is done, we all grab the toothpicks and start making the bites. Since they helped, they also get first dibs on the finished product once it cools down enough to eat. We like to call it quality control.
While these kielbasa bites are great for game day, I like to serve them all year long. At our summer backyard BBQs, for Christmas and New Years, and my husband may have even requested them for a birthday dinner appetizer. There’s really no wrong time to make these Glazed Kielbasa Bites. One bite of their sweet and salty flavor and you’ll be hooked!

Tools used to make this Glazed Kielbasa Bites recipe
Knives: A good set of kitchen knives is essential for any cook. This set is the best one I’ve owned so far and it comes with a knife block, steak knives, and an array of larger knives perfect for all your slicing, chopping, and cutting needs.
Cutting Board: A good-sized cutting board is a must for home cooks. This board is thick & sturdy and makes recipe prep a breeze.
Mixing Bowl: These mixing bowls are perfect for mixing and serving. I love the varied sizes so I always have to right size bowl for all my mixing needs.

DID YOU PUT TOOTHPICKS IN WATER OVER NIGHT??
Aubrey Cota says
No just for about 10 to 20 minutes.
ArndtYouErin says
You could always stick the toothpicks in them after you baked them.
lisa says
Could you make it in a crockpot. Cook them in the oven then travel with them in a crockpot. .
Aubrey says
Absolutely!
Melanie Cope says

These look delicious! I grew up in a Polish family so kielbasa was always on the menu especially at holidays! Even today – it’s still the first thing that gets eaten!
Aubrey says
That’s awesome! I grew up with my mom making something similar to this when I was growing up and I would gobble them up fast!
susan v.d.merwe says
. I would love to make these treats, could you please explain what Kielbasas are? I live in South Africa and we don’t have it. Maybe I can use a substitute?
Aubrey says
Keilbasa is a polish sausage. I think any sausage would be tasty. It’s very finely ground, but I think a chicken & apple sausage would be good.
Susan says
You good use hot dogs too, cut into 4 pieces.
Kim says
Im making these tonight. Did you remove the casing from the kielbasa?
Aubrey says
There wasn’t a casing on my kielbasa but either way would be fine.
Anne says
These Kielbasa bites were so delicious and easy to prepare..Made them ahead of time and then just microwaved as needed ! Thanks 😉
Aubrey says
I’m so glad! Don’t you just love make ahead party food?
carol lynch says
Now I don’t need to ask my question 🙂 Having our Christmas Party tomorrow night and I made them last year the day of the party but want to save some time this year (although they don’t take much time at all. I’m making them a day early and just heating up as needed. LOVE THEM !
Aubrey Cota says
Whenever you can save time you should right! Plus don’t most things taste better the next day anyway!? Thanks for sharing 🙂
Jo Hume says
Did you heat them in the oven or microwave
when making the kebalsa bites
a day early?
Jennifer Kimmel says
Hey Jo! Yes, you can just reheat them in the microwave.
Beth Campbell says
Wouldn’t it be easier and quicker to just dunk the bites in the glaze?
Aubrey says
You could try that Beth. Mine wasn’t deep enough to dunk them. You want the glaze over the top while the bites cook.
Barbara F. says
I mixed the glaze in a 1 cup measuring cup then dipped the chunks as I held the end of the toothpick. The process worked very well. These snacks are a hit.
Pam Cummins says
I wondered about that too
Laura says
Hello, the pineapple kielbasas sound wonderful, just wondering what sweet chili sauce you suggest I use?
Aubrey says
Thanks Laura! You could use any that you like. I have a few different. As long as it has a bit of spice and the sweet flavor you can’t go wrong. 🙂
Pam Cummins says
You can make your own with jelly any flavor ans stir in red pepper flakes .
