The holidays at my house always call for lots of food and delicious, easy to make cocktails. I love a pitcher cocktail that I can whip up ahead of time and keep on had so I’m not playing bartender all night. Vodka cranberry has always been one of my favorite cocktails and today I’m turning it into a yummy vodka cranberry punch! Tart lime and sweet tropical juices paired with cranberry turn this ginger ale punch into a crowd favorite that’ll have everyone coming back for more!

Black Friday. Today has a whole new meaning to me. Wednesday night (I wish I could make those wavy flashback lines from the cartoons but I can’t so just imagine them here) I had been to three different stores to get all the things I needed for Thanksgiving and then still went back when I remember that I still missed some things. I worked around my house and started my cooking. By 6 o’clock I was exhausted and started making mistakes.
The first was trying to shove too many dishes onto the shelf that has the refrigerator light. Smash when the bulb and all the glass fell down behind the shelves below. So out came all my shelves and the glass. Then I decided I couldn’t just leave a broken light bulb in the fridge so I reached back to take it out and BZZZZZZZZZZ! I was shocked. With my hand still feeling shaky I decided to call it for the night. I figured I would just wake up early to finish the meal. We were having friends over so I had to get my house back in shape. (Don’t you feel like when you have company coming over it’s your house inevitably explodes in a clutter bomb?)
Thursday morning came along and my mind was raring to go so it woke me up at 4 in the morning. I got up had a cup of coffee and turned into a tornado of cleaning. Fast forward to me discovering that the turkey roaster that can roast a 20 lb bird to roast my 19 lb bird won’t actually close on a 19 lb. bird. I tried to smash it down, looked for something to weigh it down and then ended up putting in my oven the old-fashioned way. I got on with cooking, our friends came over, more cooking, Cowboys win, more cooking, and then I pull that beautiful turkey out of the oven only to realize that I started my bird on 425 and then never remembered to lower it.
So it cooked at that high temp for 4 and a half hours. All I can say is that I’ve never been so happy to have brined my turkey and used an oven bag! I let it rest for quite some time and then we were all gathered around in the kitchen as my husband prepared to carve the turkey. I had two of those giant forks that come with the carving set, one in each hand. I had placed one in each end of the turkey to lift it out of the pan and place it on the cutting board for Casey to carve. I started to lift when the breastbone (not really sure what the bone is called) went flying into the air and the two breast fell to the side!!! It was so moist and cooked so long it was literally falling off of the bone!!!!! It ended up being so tasty and we all had a huge laugh.
Today though I am sore and tired, and my Friday is Black not because I am hitting the sales or because I am down in any way, but because I may just sleep this day away. Ha ha ha! Who am I kidding? I’m a mom so I’m up making breakfast, cleaning, and starting it all over again but it’s totally worth it!
This cranberry and vodka punch cocktail is one of the super yummy drinks we had yesterday. I made our Holiday Sangria and we topped it off with some moscoto champagne for a little bubbly. I also made this Cranberry Vodka Punch. It was so great!!! Everyone really liked it! I whipped up a batch, kept it in my giant pitcher, and then placed it on a cake plate to dress things up. The day before I froze some fresh cranberries and cranberry juice in muffin tins. We put those in the drink instead of ice! It looked amazing and didn’t dilute the drink at all. I think next time for Christmas I’ll freeze some mint in there also. The frozen limeade concentrate brightens up the cranberry flavors and makes this drink one of my new favorites!

How is the pineapple mango juice sold? Is it a frozen juice or is it sold in the refrigerated section of the market? Just wondering where to look for it. I’m thinking this is going to be the Signature Drink at my Christmas Party.

Honestly it could be either or depending on your supermarket. Use what you like.

This looks amazing and so pretty! The punch appears to have additional whole fruit besides cranberries – any suggestions of what to add?
