These fruit ice pops are a favorite with everyone in my house. However, with it being Mother’s Day I wanted to treat myself. There’s nothing I love more with brunch than a mimosa and these pops are perfect with champagne! I fill up a glass, add an ice pop stick side up, and let it melt into my drink. It’s completely delicious and the presentation is fun so I get to feel all fancy. Happy Mother’s Day to me!
What are Ice Pops?
- Ice pops are a frozen snack on a stick. Usually, they are milk or water-based. The liquid is poured into an ice pop mold with a stick is inserted in the middle or into an ice pop bag and then frozen.
There are so many flavor options out there, but I love using fruit juice for our pops. Florida Orange Juice is my favorite ice pop starter. It tastes great, is packed with Vitamin C, Folate, Potassium, and there’s no added sugar! That’s what I call a nutritional benefit win. These homemade ice pops are also a great way to help our family get their recommended daily fruit intake of 8 ounces for adults and 4 to 6 ounces for kids.
While Florida Orange Juice is fantastic by itself, I like to sweeten this ice pop recipe just a touch with some pineapple juice. The fruit juice combination works perfectly with fresh summer berries.
How to Make Ice Pops
- Rinse and chop fruit. Place in ice pops molds or ice pop bags.
- Mix together Florida Orange Juice and pineapple juice. Pour over fruit until molds are full.
- Insert handles or sticks and freeze for at least 6 hours or until set.
- Remove from the ice pop mold and enjoy!
When my kids were younger I’d help them by chopping the fruit and pouring in the juice. They would fill the molds with fruit and stir the juices together. These days, they whip up a batch of Florida Orange Juice Ice Pops all on their own. All I have to do is tell them how delicious I think they are. Florida Orange Juice has provided a nutritional foundation for my family for years and will continue to do so for years to come.
My family loves the taste and color contrast of red berries like strawberries and raspberries in our Orange Ice Pops, but sometimes we mix things up. These are some of our favorite fruits to add to our 100% orange juice pops.
