This CROCK POT CHICKEN WINGS RECIPE is the best way to get bold, spicy, fall-off-the-bone wings. You will never believe that they are cooked in a crockpot with just three ingredients!
Aaaahhh, how I love chicken wings. Chicken wings, especially ones doused in buffalo sauce, are the quintessential appetizer that is perfect for almost any occasion, wouldn’t you agree? It doesn’t matter if it’s a game day, a birthday party, or dinner out at a restaurant, no one minds if there’s a big old plate of wings for everyone to munch on. Lots of folks out there associate wings with restaurants or take out, but friends, I’ve got news for you. You can make delicious, finger-licking, spicy buffalo wings right in your very own kitchen. And they’re EASY to make, to boot!
Did you know that you can prepare chicken wings in your crock pot?! That’s right, after just a few hours in the slow cooker followed by a few minutes in the oven to crisp them up, you will have wings so tasty that you will never spend money on take-out wings for parties again! Not only does slow cooking yield a super tender wing, but when you slow cook them as opposed to frying them, they’re healthier, too. Got to love that!
You can use your favorite hot sauce for this recipe, but I highly recommend Frank’s Red Hot. It’s my go-to for hot wings and gives the sauce the perfect tangy flavor. One bottle just so happens to be the perfect amount for this recipe. Try it! I promise you won’t be disappointed. But if you have a fave wing sauce, by all means, use it.
I suggest serving these tasty, easy to make, party-perfect wings alongside some crisp carrot and celery sticks. And you can’t forget a big bowl of ranch or blue cheese for dipping! Make them and watch them disappear! Looking for more appetizer ideas? You can check out more of my favorite finger foods here and don’t forget our Best Crock Pot Recipes. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 3-4 lb. chicken wings
- 1 1/2 cups hot sauce I use Frank's Red Hot Original
- 6 tbsp. butter
Instructions
- Place the chicken wings into a 6-quart oval crock pot. Pour the hot sauce over the wings and stir to coat. Cut the butter into pieces and lay on top of the wings. Cover and cook on high for 2 hours, stirring halfway through the cook time.
- Remove the wings from the slow cooker and place onto a foil-lined baking sheet. Broil the wings for 3-4 minutes, baste with the sauce, flip, then continue broiling to crisp them up. Drizzle with more sauce before serving.

They look good, but add some seasoning to those wings. Some salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, etc.

You are so right John! There needs to be some flavor besides hot sauce and butter. Blah!
