This was fantastic! I put it all in a crockpot in stead of baking. I cooked bacon and crumbled it and instead of sour cream I used plain Greek Yogurt. I am totally making this again!

What kind of chips/crackers would you recommend with this dip?
Deanna says
This has become a new family favorite! It’s delicious AND EASY!
Gloria says
This dip did not disappoint! We love it! I wanted more protein in the dip so I fried 1 lb of hamburger and seasoned it with 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper and a 1/2 tsp of red pepper. Then I spread the hamburger on the bottom of the 9×13 pan. Then I topped it with this dip and baked as your directions say. Very filling and delicious!

Has anyone frozen this recipe? Any reason not to?
Jennifer Kimmel says
Hey Karen! I’ve never had the need to freeze the dip before…either it gets devoured too quickly or I just make it right before we need it. I would think it could be frozen!

Can this be made ahead and refrigerated till needed?
Aubrey Cota says
Yes, you can put all of the prepared ingredients together in your baking dish and then when ready take it from the fridge and let it settle/come to room temp and pop it in the oven per the instructions.
Tammy C says
Hi just wondering if you can use prepared ranch dressing instead of the ranch mix. I dont have any mix just the dressing! Looking forward to making this!
Aubrey Cota says
You could just keep in mind that it would add more of a liquid factor which could cause it to become a bit soupier than what is shown here.
Sandy says
Hello , Can I make the dip without the bacon bits?
Aubrey Cota says
Sure, you’ll be missing out but if you don’t want them it won’t necessarily break the recipe.
Carla Willis says
How long do you cook it in the crockpot? What temperature??
Aubrey Cota says
If you are using the low temperature it would be approximately 2-3 hours, if you choose high then it would be 1-2 hours.
Nancy g says
Can the crack dip be cooked on the stove then served in a crock .thank you looks delicious
Aubrey Cota says
That seems like a lot of extra work. Is there a reason that you don’t want to just start and finish in the crock?
