Do you ever wonder why there are some flavors we only enjoy around the holidays? Like gingerbread, or snickerdoodle, or…eggnog? Every year around this time I find myself wondering how and why that ever came to be. Especially considering the fact that they’re all so delicious!

Eggnog has long been one of my favorites, and as soon as it hits the shelves around Thanksgiving, you better believe I’m all over it. This year, I decided to take it to the next level by mixing it into this Boozy Eggnog Shake. And let’s just say it was the best decision I’ve made in a long time.

This shake tastes just like the eggnog you know and love, only better. Because it’s mixed with ice cream and spices and brandy and rum….and then topped with whipped cream for good measure. Perfect for the holidays…..or for any time you can get your hands on some eggnog!

Ingredients

• 3 c. vanilla ice cream
• 1 c. eggnog
• 1 oz. brandy
• 1 oz. dark rum
• 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
• whipped cream

Instructions

• Combine all ingredients (except whipped cream) in a blender.
• Mix until smooth and top with whipped cream.
