Ingredients
Chocolate: To make this fudge, you will need white chocolate chips and semi-sweet chocolate chips. Choose high-quality chocolate to make this fudge since it has a star flavor.
Peanut Butter: Just like with the chocolate, choose a good quality, creamy peanut butter to use in this recipe.
Optional: If the semi-sweet chocolate is too thick when melted, you can add a little shortening to create a more easily drizzled chocolate.
How to Make Tiger Butter Fudge
STEP ONE: Line a 9-inch x 13-inch pan with parchment paper or tin foil and set aside. Add the white chocolate to a medium microwave-safe bowl and heat them in the microwave for one minute. Stir the chocolate, stir in the peanut butter, microwave for another 30 seconds, and stir. Keep heating the fudge in 30-second intervals as needed until the mixture is melted and smooth.
STEP TWO: Pour the white chocolate and peanut butter mixture into the prepared pan and set aside again.
STEP THREE: In a separate bowl, microwave the semi-sweet chocolate chips for one minute and stir. Continue to heat for 30 seconds at a time and stir until the chocolate chips have melted and reach a drizzling consistency. Stir in the shortening, if needed, to the chocolate if it’s too thick.
STEP FOUR: Drizzle the chocolate in one direction over the chocolate peanut butter fudge in the pan. Using a knife or skewer, drag lines in the opposite direction to make swirls in the fudge.
STEP FIVE: Allow the fudge to sit on the counter for 2 hours to set. Once firm, take the fudge out of the pan, remove the foil or paper, and cut it into squares.
Tips for Success
- Smaller pans can be used to make this fudge, which will give you a thicker fudge rather than a fudge-like bark, but it will need a longer time to set, so give it more time or pop it in the fridge to speed up the time.
- Choose high-quality ingredients for this fudge for the best-tasting results. The only flavors are chocolate and peanut butter so pick up excellent tasting peanut butter and chocolate to make an outstanding fudge!
- Natural peanut butter can be used but is usually a little grainy, so if you like that texture, then go for it. Otherwise, stick with creamy peanut butter. Crunchy peanut butter can be used as well for a delightfully crunchy texture!
- The shortening is optional and is only needed if your chocolate is too thick. If you don’t have shortening, try adding just a little butter or oil, including coconut oil, until the chocolate reaches a drizzling consistency.
Do I have to use semi-sweet chocolate chips?
The wonderful thing about Tiger Butter Fudge is that it is so easy and so versatile! If you’re a dark chocolate person or a milk chocolate person, use those types of chocolate to make this fudge. Measure the same amount of dark or milk chocolate chips as the recipe calls for. To make this recipe with a bigger peanut butter kick, you could substitute a portion of the white chocolate chips for peanut butter chips. Tiger Butter Fudge is simple and foolproof, so have fun with it!
How is Tiger Butter Fudge different from Fudge?
Technically, Tiger Butter Fudge isn’t a fudge, but it is creamy and has a fudge-like texture, so it’s called fudge! Traditional fudge is made with more ingredients besides chocolate, such as butter, sugar, and cream, and most importantly, it is boiled to create the fudge texture. While traditional fudge is still pretty easy to make, there are more steps and requires more time, which is why Tiger Butter Fudge is a great alternative!

Ingredients
- 24 ounces white chocolate chips (2 bags)
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon shortening (optional)
Instructions
- Line a 9-inch x 13-inch pan or baking dish with foil or parchment paper, being sure to come up the sides of the pan. Set aside.
- Heat the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl for 1 minute and then stir. Add the peanut butter and heat for an additional 30 seconds. Stir until fully melted, creamy, and fully combined. Repeat heating in 30-second intervals as needed.
- Pour the peanut butter fudge into the prepared pan and set aside.
- In another microwave-safe bowl, heat the chocolate chips for 1 minute and then stir. Continue heating in 30-second intervals and then stirring until melted. (If the chocolate is too thick to run off of a spoon, stir in 1 tablespoon of shortening to thin the chocolate.)
- Drizzle chocolate in parallel lines over the peanut butter fudge. Then, take a knife and drag it through the chocolate, going in the opposite direction of the lines and swirling the chocolate until you are happy with the pattern in the fudge. You want it to sort of look like tiger stripes.
- Let the fudge sit on the counter for 2 hours to set up. (You can also chill the fudge in the fridge for a firmer texture.
- Use the foil/parchment paper to lift the fudge out of the pan. Peel the foil/paper away and use a sharp knife to cut it into 64 pieces.
Notes
- Recipe yield and nutritional information will vary based on how big you cut the pieces of fudge.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.

Do you think coconut oil would be a good substitute for shortening? I’ve seen it used in other recipes to thin chocolate as well. 🙂
