Bursting with tropical flavors, Strawberry Mango Moscato Slushies are the ultimate adult cocktail! So good you’ll mix want to them up all summer long!
The absolute best thing about summer is the delicious fruity cocktails that come with the hot weather. Am I right, or am I right? My favorite types of cocktails are those that cool you down and leave you feeling refreshed and ready for fun.
Last summer, my girlfriends and I perfected how to make a margarita, but this summer, our poolside drink is definitely going to be these Strawberry Mango Moscato Slushies! This slushie recipe is so easy to make, it looks beautiful, and it tastes even better than you could imagine!

Growing up, I LIVED on slushies. You know…the gigantic, pure sugar, icy drinks you and your group of friends ride your bikes to pick up at the convenience store down the street?
Yeah… those things were LIFE as a kid.
I swear my tongue was permanently stained blue one summer because I had a blue raspberry slushie every single day. I have to admit that really, not much has changed as I’ve gotten older…
I still love a good slushie, but these days I don’t ride my bike to get them. Instead, I mix them up in my kitchen and add some alcohol to make them the ultimate adult summer treat!
Mango Moscato slushies are the best way to keep cool on hot days. They’re like adult popsicles! You’d better believe that if I’m sitting poolside with my girlfriends this summer, we’ll have some Moscato wine slushies in hand.
Ingredients
Moscato – so Moscato isn’t one of my personal favorite wines to sip on its own, but it does make for the ultimate fancy cocktail drink! Moscato is sweet and fizzy and it is just perfect for making Moscato slushies! For 2 servings of this yummy cocktail, you’ll need about 2 cups of Moscato.
Frozen fruit – to make your Moscato wine slushies you’ll need some frozen mango chunks and frozen sliced strawberries. You want your fruit to be frozen because it’s how the drink becomes a slushie. You don’t use ice (we don’t want to water down the cocktail!). If you’ve got fresh fruit on hand, cut it up into chunks and freeze it overnight in a ziplock bag so that your mango Moscato slushie has the perfect frozen consistency!
Simple Syrup – it doesn’t matter if you use store-bought simple syrup or homemade, just know that you’ll want to adjust how much you use to your own personal taste!
How to make Moscato Wine Slushies
If you’ve got a blender, then you’ve got all the equipment you need in order to make this yummy Moscato slushie recipe. So what are you waiting for? Your pool is calling you to come for a swim with your mango Moscato slushie!
To achieve the beautiful (and fun!) layered effect of this slushie, you’ll be making it in 2 batches. Here’s how:
- Start by making your strawberry slush. Combine the frozen strawberries, 1/2 the wine, and 1/2 the simple syrup in a blender. Pulse them for about 15-30 seconds blending until smooth.
- Pour the strawberry mixture into a pitcher and set it aside.
- Clean out the blender and dry it – we wouldn’t want those strawberry and mango layers getting mixed up until you’re ready for them to mix!
- Now it’s time for the mango slush! Put the frozen mango, the remainder of the white wine, and the remainder of the simple syrup into the blender and blend until it’s smooth.
- Next, it’s layering time! In a glass, begin layering the strawberry and then the mango wine slushie, one at a time until the glass is full.
- Garnish with strawberry slices and enjoy!
As you’re blending the two slushie batches, make sure you take a quick taste test to assess the level of sweetness. If the strawberries are tart, you may need to add even more syrup. Conversely, if the Moscato wine is really sweet and so are the strawberries, you may need less or no syrup. It really depends on how sweet you like your drinks!
What is the best Moscato wine?
Moscato wine is great for making slushies because it is a naturally very sweet wine. Really, any bottle of Moscato wine you have on hand will work well for this Moscato slushie recipe, but here are three of my go-to brands:
Sutter Home – Sutter Home is a well-known brand that you can really find almost anywhere. The Moscato that Sutter Home makes is great because it is cheap (I’m talking under 10 bucks…), but it still tastes great!
Skinny Girl – anyone else a fan of the Real Housewives of New York? Bethenny’s Skinny Girl brand has really exploded and for GOOD reason. Her Moscato is light and low-cal but still sweet and yummy! If you’re looking to cut back on some of the sugar in this recipe, then Skinny Girl Moscato is the way to go!
Earl Stevens Mangoscato – if you’re a big fan of the tropical mango flavor, go ahead and grab a bottle of the Earl Stevens Mangoscato! It’s a Moscato that is mango-flavored AND has a super high ABV (aka, you’ll be feeling real nice after finishing your mango Moscato slushie).
