It’s no secret that everyone loves ice cream in summer, but this boozy Raspberry Wine Float is an adults-only favorite perfect for hot days!
It might not be common knowledge, but did you know that you can pour your wine over ice cream? That’s right. My two favorite things go surprisingly well together, and this Raspberry Wine Float is all the evidence you’ll ever need of that.
It’s also worth noting how easy they are to make. So easy in fact that I might just live off of wine floats and no bake cookies all summer long.

RASPBERRY WINE FLOAT INGREDIENTS
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream- Considering this recipe only has 3 ingredients, I encourage you to get the richest and creamiest vanilla bean ice cream you can find!
Sparkling Moscato- Pick whichever Moscato you prefer, whether it comes from a bottle, a can, or a box! Just remember each sparkling wine float you make will use 6 ounces of wine, so plan accordingly.
Raspberries- Use fresh raspberries in each wine float. You could also substitute in other fruits, like peaches, if you wanted to switch things up.

CAN YOU POUR WINE OVER ICE CREAM?
You can absolutely pour wine over ice cream! This Raspberry Wine Float recipe is why we are here, right? But wine always tastes best when it is expertly paired with the right flavors, so beware!
Your favorite wine and your favorite ice cream might not be an automatic match made in heaven. Don’t worry though! You will find some delicious wine float pairing advice just below!
WHICH WINE GOES WITH ICE CREAM?
You can technically pour any wine over any ice cream, but the question is should you? Some wines will pair better with certain flavors than others.
You can always make a dessert drink with a nice vanilla bean ice cream because you really cannot go wrong there. If you are looking to venture out, however, here are some of my favorite combos!
White Wine Float: If you love Oreos, Cookies and Cream ice cream will pair well with a slightly sweet (AKA off-dry) or sparkling white wine.
Red Wine Ice Cream Float: The bold fruity notes in red wines make it an excellent pairing for chocolate ice cream and coffee ice cream.
Chardonnay: The buttery notes of a Chardonnay pair extremely well with ice cream flavors like Cookie Dough, Pistachio, and Butter Pecan.
Rosé: If you are craving strawberry ice cream or a lighter berry sorbet, top it off with an off-dry or sparkling rosé.
