If you have followed along with any of the crafts I’ve shared here, then you know that I’m a big fan of the mason jar. They’re perfect for cooking, drinking, crafting and gifting! And today we’re sharing a great crafty gift idea – these adorable DIY Snowman Gift Jars!

What you’ll need:

• Mason jar
• Small top hat (from craft store or you can create your own out of stiff felt)
• White craft paint
• Paint brush
• Glue gun/hot glue
• Black and orange markers

And the steps:

• Paint your mason jar with white craft paint; a chalky finish paint will work and look the best.
• Let that cure for at least 24 hours before moving to the next step.
• Using your black and orange markers, add snowman eyes, nose and mouth to the jar.

Then fill your jar with gifty goodness and top with the mason jar lid and top hat! You can choose to glue your top hat on if it won’t be getting a lot of use. Otherwise I would just place on top for ease of opening and closing the jar.

I love how these little guys turned out! What’s even more, my boys think they’re super cool so I know I’ve done a good job when that happens. I think we’ll fill them up with goodies and send to the boys teachers since they love them so much.
