DIY Glitter Makeup (Brush) Holder

Hello beauty babes! Today I’ve got a super simple DIY project to share with you. As a makeup lover, I am always on the lookout for cute ways to store and organize my beauty tools and products. Sometimes those super cute holders and organizers can be really expensive! I’m a momma on a budget, so often times I like to get crafts and make things myself. Since my latest project {Glitter Makeup Brush Holders} turned out so nicely, I thought I would share.

What’s great about this project is that most of these items came from the Dollar Tree and it can be versatile! I’m using it for makeup brushes, but you can use this to hold pencils, flowers, or any other kind of decor you’d like! You also don’t have to use a cup, you can use a candle holder or small clear vase. It’s really up to you!

Supply list:

• Glass cup, vase, or candle holder – I found these adorable kiss print glasses at the Dollar Tree! They always have a variety of fun glasses, mugs, vases and more to use.
• Glitter, your choice of color – You can find glitter at the Dollar Tree as well.
• Medium-size flat paintbrush
• Mod Podge

I wanted to keep this quick and nonmessy. So I simply poured a nice amount of mod podge right into the cup and then a nice heap of glitter in after it. I used the paintbrush to mix it up and then started pulling it upwards towards the rim of the cup. You don’t have to be too precise, just make sure you cover all the glass. Looking closely at the photo below you can see my “paint” lines on the inside of the cup. But from the outside, you don’t notice them all at.

Once you have painted all the clear glass on the inside, you are done! Simply let it dry and you are good to go. My cups dried within about 15 minutes, but I left them to dry overnight before putting anything in them just to be sure! Because we used mod podge, the glitter is set and sealed, and it won’t flake off onto anything!
