I’ve made this on the pinch and added Telmex cheese (blend of five cheese) and have made it with homemade mushroom soup…even with canned mushroom soup, it tastes delish!

This can also be made with fresh green beans for those who don’t like canned!

I buy frozen when not in season…steam for seven minutes, a cold bath and then into a casserole dish.

Love this traditional recipe, and I prefer Worcestershire sauce to the soy sauce that is in the Campbell’s soup recipe for this. I always saute some extra garlic and onions to add . . .

Very disappointed by this recipe. I anticipated use of real- unprocessed – ingredients. Instead this is the same tired can-o-crap recipe.

I understand what you’re looking for; however, that is how green bean casserole came into existence. These are the ingredients used. This recipe is just our variation of an old tradition. I’m sorry this wasn’t the version you preferred.

Well if you know how to cook, then make homemade mushroom soup instead of bashing this recipe. Why don’t you learn to think outside the box instead.
