Try a Whipped Hot Toddy for a delicious twist on a classic hot cider!
Cooler months are a welcome site here in Southern Arizona. When you are subjected to 90-100+ degree weather a good eight months out of the year, you welcome a little chill.
Chilly weather also means holidays, like Thanksgiving and Christmas, which I love. The baking, the decorations, the shopping. It means spending time with family you rarely get to see, and making memories that last a lifetime.
When there’s a chill in the air, it also means I get to wear sweaters and boots {usually}, another thing that I love to do, but hardly get to.
Sitting by the fire pit is another fun thing to do in the Fall and Winter months, along with sipping ‘spiked’ drinks to warm up your insides. I’ll admit, I never really used to be into hot cocktails, other than coffee or cocoa, but this hot toddy really does the trick. It’s made with just two ingredients, and the recipe can be increased depending on the size of your crowd.
Ingredients
- 6 ounces apple cider
- 1 ½ ounces whipped cream flavored vodka
- Whipped cream for garnish
Instructions
- Heat cider until hot
- Combine c hot cider and vodka in a glass or mug
- Top with whipped cream, if desired
- Enjoy!
