Who doesn’t love a good cupcake or cake walk at a carnival? Kids will love this Easter version of a traditional cake walk where they have to hop around the circle rather than walk. Not only is it fun for kids, it’s also a great way to get kids to be active and to practice their colors as they try to see who has the matching colored bunny tail each round!

Supplies Needed: 

• Printable bunny hop cards
• Printable bunny tail cards (to choose the winner)
• Tape
• Spring or Easter themed music (the Bunny Hop would be perfect!)
• Easter Basket
• Easter candy or small prizes

Preparation: 

1. Print and cut out the bunny hop cards. You can download the cards here. I recommend printing on card stock and laminating so they don’t get messed up when kids are hopping on them. Laminating them also means you can play over and over again!
2. Print and cut out the bunny tail cards. I recommended laminating these as well, but it’s not quite as important. These will be like the numbers you’d choose in a cake walk – you’ll choose a bunny tail when the music stops instead. Place the cutout bunny tails in an Easter basket.
3. Set up your music, preferably with a speaker that everyone can hear.
4. Tape the bunny hop cards in a large circle around a room.

Play: 

1. Players should hop around the circle of bunny hop cards while you play music.
2. Play the music for a random amount of time then stop. When the music stops, everyone should hop to a bunny tail and stand either on or next to it in the circle.
3. Once everyone is on a bunny hop card, pick a bunny tail from the Easter basket and show/announce the color. Whoever is on that color bunny hop card wins an Easter prize.

Kids will love playing this bunny hop game almost as much as they loved these other Easter games for kids! And once you’re done with the bunny hop game for the kids, grab all of the teens and adults and play these spring party games as well!
