Stuck on what to buy your child’s teacher this holiday season? Popcorn themed teacher gifts are the PERFECT way to say thank you for all they do!

Christmas shopping has never been my favorite thing. Getting my kids bundled up, into the car, and then successfully navigating a store is nothing short of a miracle, especially with all the fun toys and games stores are shoving right in our faces during the holidays!
When I found out that I can instead do my shopping online and have someone would BRING IT TO MY CAR, I knew that I was going to be a shopping champion this year. Sorry kids, no getting “lost” in the toy aisle this year!
I’ve got family and friends all checked off my list, but I always seem to struggle to find the perfect gift for my boys’ teachers. These great teachers spend so much time and energy devoted to our kids.

They’re basically second parents to them and we adore and appreciate them so much. They deserve a special gift that shows them how much they mean to us.
I’ve spoken to many teachers over the years and the general consensus is: NO. MORE. COFFEE. MUGS.
Teachers have their desks lined with “#1 Teacher” mugs, and their cupboards at home are bursting at the seams. They can’t bear to get rid of a precious gift from a student (bless their hearts) but really… it’s getting ridiculous.
I’ve vowed to never purchase another coffee mug as a teacher gift so long as my boys are in school. But how can we show how much we care for our teachers?
With an adorable gift basket OF COURSE! It doesn’t if your kids are in elementary school or high school. This gift basket is a good idea for any teacher.
Teachers get a much-deserved break over the holidays to sit and relax with their families. They have a few precious days where they don’t have to be tying our kids’ shoes or reminding them for the 300th time that “yes, this will be on the test.” Teachers need to capitalize on that downtime with some relaxing gifts put together by their favorite students.
I had my boys brainstorm what they think their teachers would love best and I’m so proud of what they came up with! They decided to build a popcorn themed gift basket to express how “pop”ular their teachers are!
I used Walmart’s amazing Online Grocery Pickup option to buy everything I needed for these adorable gift baskets. All I had to do was have my kids search the Walmart website to find what they thought their teacher might like.
Then I placed my order and dropped by my local Walmart where it was all hand delivered right to my car. It really couldn’t have been any simpler.
Popcorn Themed Teacher Appreciation Gift Basket
Popcorn Bucket
Every good gift basket needs a theme. We figured that teachers spend so much of their time at home during the school year grading papers and preparing lessons, that they need some time to kick back and watch movies with their families over the break. And with every good movie night comes POPCORN!
Angie’s BOOMCHICKAPOP Sweet and Salty Kettle Corn
We love BOOMCHICKAPOP in our house and this flavor is the one that is constantly flying out of our pantry.
It’s a non-GMO, gluten-free snack made with whole-grain ingredients so it’s the perfect snack for a tired teacher! For those teachers who prefer salty to sweet, try Angie’s BOOMCHICKAPOP Pop Sea Salt popcorn.
Fuzzy Socks
Teachers need to rest their feet over the holiday break. There’s no better feeling than taking off your shoes at the end of a day and slipping into a pair of warm fuzzy socks. They’re perfect for a movie night pajama party!
Angie’s BOOMCHICKAPOP Real Butter Microwave Popcorn
I love the convenience of a pre-popped bag of popcorn, but there’s something so special about a freshly popped bowl of buttery popcorn!
These bags are extra awesome because they pop up in the microwave into a convenient “fresh pop bowl,” so no extra dishes to wash! We know teachers will love this popcorn because it’s made with real, simple ingredients and is 35 calories per cup popped!
Glittery Water Bottle
Every teacher needs a good water bottle. They talk all day long, it’s a miracle they don’t lose their voices every week! My son picked out this glitzy gold water bottle for his teacher because he knew she loves glitter 🙂
Candy!
I made it my kids’ “secret mission” to find out what types of candy their teacher likes best. I told them to try and figure it out without making it toooooo obvious why they were asking. They totally bought into the surprise and were super sleuths.
They came home so excited to tell me what candy to get. You want to make sure to include candy in the movie night basket, because who doesn’t want to munch on some chocolate after they finish their movie popcorn?!
To finish off our gift baskets we printed out these ADORABLE stickers and cards to let the teachers know how much we value the hard work they do with our kids. If your child’s teacher is truly “pop”ular then you should definitely “pop” in to say how thankful you are!
Download FREE POP!ular Teacher Stickers and then get the right stickers for this template.
Download FREE Teacher Thank You Cards and print them on white cardstock.
The cards are great to string on your gift basket and the stickers are the perfect size to stick on one of those individual bags of microwave Angie’s BOOMCHICKAPOP if you want to split up the boxes between teachers! Grab your FREE downloadable stickers and cards here.
Thanks to the ease of the Walmart Online Grocery Pickup, my boys and I had so much fun making these baskets this year. We might just have to make it a holiday tradition. I’m going to start feeling like Oprah… “And YOU get a basket! And YOU get a basket!”
