Caramel Bourbon Root Beer Floats are fun and delicious adult root beer floats, and ready in 5 minutes!
Do you have a summer bucket list? My summer bucket list is full of fun summery activities, and pretty much all of them seem to involve food in some way.
BBQing anything and everything, eat as much corn on the cob and fresh cherries as humanly possible, cocktails on the back deck, picnics galore, and absolutely, definitely root beer floats!
I’ve definitely crossed off most things on the bucket list, but there was still one lingering…root beer floats!
I hadn’t had root beer floats since I was a kid until a few summers ago, and I remembered why they are so good!
A) they’re so easy to make
B) it’s totally fun to pour the root beer and have it fizz up everywhere
C) they taste sooo delicious! And this is coming from someone who rarely drinks root beer (or soda for that matter).
This variation on the good old root beer float adds a shot of bourbon and a drizzle of caramel sauce…OK maybe you can tell from the photos, I got a little crazy with the caramel sauce…what can I say? These caramel bourbon root beer floats are all about indulging in a delicious dessert (slash cocktail) and satisfying the inner kid. And the inner kid almost always asks for more caramel sauce 😉
After drinking these floats, I think my bucket list is almost complete! What about you? What’s on your summer bucket list?
