Ingredients

Dry Ingredients: You will need a box of original Bisquick mix and your favorite box of brownie mix to make these pancakes. I recommend regular brown mix, not with pudding.

Wet Ingredients: You will also need milk and eggs for this recipe.

Toppings: Set out chocolate syrup, whipped cream, sprinkles, and more to make the best pancakes!

How to Make Brownie Pancakes

STEP ONE: Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. If you’re not using a nonstick griddle/skillet, then be sure to grease it well. In a large bowl, stir together the Bisquick mix, brownie mix, milk, and eggs.

STEP TWO: Pour a few dollops of batter onto the hot griddle, leaving space for each pancake to spread a little. Flip the pancakes once bubbles appear or the edges look dry. Cook for a few minutes on the other side, until cooked through.

STEP THREE: Plate the pancakes and garnish the stack with chocolate syrup, sprinkles, and whipped cream, and enjoy!

Tips for Success

  • Take these pancakes over the chocolaty top and add 1/2 cup of chocolate chips to the batter! Feel free to also add toppings like chopped fresh fruit, nuts, and spreads like Nutella.
  • Store the leftover dry brownie mix in an airtight container for the next time you make these brownies! The mix will stay good for as long as the date on the box.
  • Once the pancakes have cooled to room temperature, they can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to four days. Reheat the pancakes in the microwave for a few seconds at a time until warm again.
