This Spinach Artichoke Pull Apart Bread is everything you love about the dip in delicious carb loving form!
Hey Real Housemom Friends!! I’m so happy to be here with my first contributor post! My name is Lisa, and I blog over at Wine & Glue all about my life as a wannabe baker, chef, seamstress, and crafter. I’m also a very real mom kept busy by my six year old, three year old, and five month old. My motto is pretty much, if I can do it, you can too.
So, one of my favorite things about fall . . . well, really about anything everywhere and anywhere, is the food! I love holiday season gatherings though. So often they are built around a big ‘ole table of apps. I think that for me, the ideal party is a giant island of appetizers that all my friends stand around while holding delicious cocktails.
Recently, I had that exact type of party, and it was so fun! I served up my Buffalo Pull Apart Bread with a side of paper towels, and everyone just dug in. It was a huge hit! So I decided to combine two amazing appetizers, pull apart bread and spinach artichoke dip. They come together like a match made in heaven and deliver to you their beautiful cheesy love child.
Ingredients
- 1 loaf of store bought sourdough bread
- ½ cup or one stick of butter
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese divided
- 2 garlic cloves diced
- 2 cups fresh spinach chopped
- 14 oz can artichoke hearts drained well and chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Slice your sourdough bread first one way, then the other, making a cross-hatch and being carful not to slice through the bottom of the loaf.
- Stuff 3/4 a cup of cheese in the cracks of the bread. This while hold the bread open so you can pour all the other goodness in.
- Melt the butter and sauté the garlic. Then add the spinach, wilting it, and finally the artichokes, coating them well in the butter and spinach mixture.
- Carefully spoon the mixture into the bread over the cheese. Top with the remainder of the cheese and then tent with aluminum foil and place on a baking sheet in the middle rack of the oven. Bake covered for 20 minutes and uncovered for a final two minutes. Serve immediately.
