The inspiration for this drink came from a lot of different drinks; margaritas, Arnold Palmer, and even a beer-ita! My friend Tammy came to town and we had a girls night with another friend, Rachael. We decided to make up a new fun drink and the Passionate Rita was born. It’s great for a new take on an old favorite and very easy to make. The recipe calls for a beer-rita that’s in stores these days but if you don’t have that, you could easily use a regular margarita with a splash of beer. One of our favorite pizza places out here in Phoenix serves their margaritas with a splash of beer and it’s fantastic! If you do use a regular margarita don’t add the tequila just add in the splash of beer, or you could leave it all in if it’s been one of those day.
