DIY Floral Lace Earrings

If April showers bring May flowers, then easy DIY FLORAL LACE EARRINGS are a perfect accessory for your spring to summer wardrobe!

I moved to Seattle by way of LA last August and while it’s been quite the adjustment, the transition of spring is by far one of the most beautiful experiences EVER. Various bright shades of white, yellow, orange, orange, red, blue, and purple highlight every home and corner in my neighborhood. So with all things flowers on my mind, I thought it would be appropriate to share with you a tutorial that was inspired by a pair of earrings by Oscar de la Renta I found at Neiman Marcus last month (see here). No offense to Oscar, I don’t have to budget to spend $260 on earrings – sorry!

So with that said, let’s get this easy tutorial started.

DIY Floral Lace Earrings

To recreate these flower-like lace earrings, you will need:

• Floral lace,
• Scissors,
• Jewelry Pliers,
• (2) Jump rings,
• (2) sets of earring findings, (hooks)

Directions

1. First, cut out your flower pattern from your lace.
   As seen in the photos below,
   locate the desired flower in your lace motif…
   With a pair of scissors, cut around the lace.
   
   
2. What’s nice about lace is that most will not unravel or fray all over the place,
   but if you are afraid of fraying, you can use an anti-fray solution,
   found at most craft stores, to keep it intact.
3. Using your jewelry pliers, slightly open one of your jump rings,
   and attach a jump ring to one end of your floral cut out.
   
4. Then attach the earring to your jump ring.
   
5. You’re done! Put them on and wear out the door! Easy stuff.
   

I love these earrings because there are so many laces out there, in so many colors and designs that it’s really easy to recreate and the best part?
