Is it almost Halloween already? I am definitely getting in the mood and this easy to make Boo Bark is just the treat to satisfy my sweet tooth!
I wanted a really easy, fun, Halloween themed treat, and so here is Boo Bark! You guys, this is SOOOOO easy to make. It is fun, it is tasty, and kids and adults will love making it and eating it.
How cute is that? I mean, seriously cute right? And it makes an amazing gift. Or how about using it to “Boo” your neighbors ? I am sharing a FREE Printable Boo Card for Boo Bark, making it a fun shareable treat. Click here to get to the printable.
But let’s get back to this awesome Boo Bark! It is made with simple ingredients. It starts with chocolate chips! I love milk chocolate, so that is what I used, but feel free to adjust it as you see fit. Dark, bittersweet, white, butterscotch, or even peanut butter! Have fun with it.
Now melt that chocolate, I did it in the microwave. Hello!!! So Eazy Peazy. Just heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between until melted. Be careful not to overheat.
Then line a cookie sheet with parchment paper, and pour your melted chocolate on top. Use a spatula to spread it around. You want it to be thick enough to hold your toppers. But you also don’t want it to be too thick. Maybe half a centimeter, but really, just base it on your personal preference.
Then comes the fun part, adding all the “boo’s” I said Boo’s not booze! Hahaha! Okay, dumb joke, but really, add in your fun extras. Sprinkles, candy corn, candy eyeballs, M&M’s, mini OREOs, mini candy bars! I mean, seriously, have fun with it. Let your kids have fun with it too.
I know we had fun! Then pop it in the fridge for an hour, and then break it up, package it if you are gifting it (don’t forget the FREE printable!), and enjoy!
