Giggle Juice

Fizzy, fruity, and fantastically fun, Giggle Juice is the perfect cocktail to share and have a great time… just get ready to giggle!

We all know I’m a big fan of a fun cocktail year-round, but I honestly think that summertime drinks simply take the cake. They’re bright, fruity, and give you all the summertime feels (and who doesn’t want the summertime feels?!). I’ve always loved a good amaretto sour, but my go-to cocktail suddenly shifted once I discovered Giggle Juice! This fun cocktail is amazing.  Sweet fruity Moscato paired with a tart lemonade and some citrus vodka? Sign me up. You and your girlfriends will be laughing away the summer when you’re sipping on giggle juice!

Lemonade + Moscato = YUM!

I LOVE a good fruity cocktail in the summer. Especially one that is packed with real fruit and leaves you feeling bubbly, light, and simply silly. For my summer parties with my girlfriends, I usually mix up a batch of tropical sangria, but this year I was looking to switch things up a bit and come up with a new cocktail. Enter the most delicious, most FUN cocktail I’ve ever made – the Giggle Juice Cocktail!

Giggle Juice Ingredients

Alcohol – as with any sangria recipe, you’ll want a little extra kick to your giggle juice cocktail than simply sweet Moscato wine. To really complement the wine, you’ll need some citrus vodka too! Mixed with the citrus fruits in the recipe, citrus vodka will make your cocktail extra fun and giggly!

Mixers – the non-alcohol base of this giggle juice recipe is a mixture of Sprite and pink lemonade.

Fruit – of course, because this giggle juice punch recipe is kind of like sangria, you’ll need some delicious fresh fruit to put in! You’ll want some sliced strawberries and a whole lemon.

How to Make Giggle Juice

The BEST thing about this giggle juice recipe is that it is SO simple to make. No muddling of ingredients, no mixing up of simple syrups… just dump, stir, and drink. Less prep time equals more giggling time – we all need more giggle time!

STEP ONE: Prep all the fruit. Wash the strawberries and then cut them into slices. Then cut one whole lemon sliced into half-moons. Grab your favorite glass pitcher and pour in all the ingredients. Yup – it’s a dump and stir recipe…SO EASY! Give everything a quick stir, and then you’re good to go!

STEP TWO: Pour the giggle juice into glasses, making sure you get some of the sliced fruit in each glass. Serve, and get giggling! I like to dip the rim of each glass into some water and then into a plate of sugar. It’s a nice touch for our cocktails.

What is Giggle Juice?

I’m a huge Harry Potter fan. I may have been one of those people standing in line for the midnight book releases (yes…right alongside all the tweens). So of course, when the spin-off movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them came out, I was one of the first people to see it.

If you aren’t a Potter-head like me, then you might be wondering what the heck I’m even talking about (or why I even bring it up). Well, there’s this cocktail in Fantastic Beasts that is said to make you suddenly burst out in uncontrollable laughter. (see the clip)

It’s called Giggle Water and I knew when I saw it I just had to make a real-life version of this magical cocktail. Who doesn’t want to be sipping on something yummy and giggle uncontrollably? Sounds fun to me! My recipe for Fantastic Beasts Giggle Juice is a scrumptious combination of sweet Moscato wine, lemonade, and citrus vodka. Giggle Juice is like a sangria, but so much more!

What did giggle water mean in the 1920s?

Giggle juice is actually another term for giggle water. The term was used in the 1920s to refer to an intoxicating beverage or alcohol. But it sounds way more fun than “booze”.
