You’ll never buy hummus again after you try this homemade ROASTED RED PEPPER HUMMUS! It is creamy and flavorful and tastes amazing with a handful of vegetables, pita chips, or pretzels.
You guys, I am obsessed with hummus. Especially this roasted red pepper hummus. Which is odd because I used to hate all things hummus. Hooray for my baby taste buds in growing up! My daughter has me beat hardcore on the healthy snacks recipes though because she is only 2 and 1/2 and she already loves it. And she even eats it with broccoli, one of her favorite vegetables! I know. She’s a strange kid. I was way pickier at that age, but I have to admit that I’m not sad about her eating habits.
In all reality, hummus is actually a pretty healthy option if you have the munchies. Especially if you eat a variety of veggies with it. Unfortunately, I tend to prefer the unhealthy stuff – tortilla chips, homemade pita chips {recipe link in the recipe card below}, pretzels, etc. You know – all things delicious. Those baby taste buds I was talking about haven’t quite caught on to the vegetable thing. I’m still holding out for that to kick in.
The great thing about this roasted red pepper hummus is that it only requires six ingredients to be thrown together in a blender and whipped up real quick. Most of the ingredients, you will probably already have on hand too. I keep garlic and tahini in my pantry at all times for whenever I’m getting a hankering for hummus. Which is more often than not. I hope you enjoy this goodness as much as I do and if you want to try some other hummus flavors, be sure to visit my blog to do so!
