Ingredients

Ring: The crust for this ring is made from tubes of refrigerated crescent roll dough. Easy!
Meat: We’re using ground beef for this taco ring (but ground turkey or chicken would substitute just fine!)
Condiments: Mustard and ketchup blend into the filling, and a little melted butter can be brushed on top of the ring.
Extras: Cheddar cheese slices and chopped dill pickles enhance the taste of the cheeseburger. Dill pickle relish can be used as a substitute for chopped dill pickles if you prefer. And an optional sprinkling of sesame seeds gives the crust that Big Mac “sesame seed bun” taste!
How to Make a Cheeseburger Crescent Roll Ring
STEP ONE: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. Cook the ground beef in a skillet until it is no longer pink; then, drain off the excess grease. Remove from the heat and stir in the ketchup, mustard, and chopped pickles. Mix well. Set aside.

STEP TWO: Place a 6-inch wide bowl upside down on an ungreased 12-inch pizza pan. Unroll the canned dough and separate into triangles. Place the triangles in a circle around the bowl, with the widest ends facing toward the center and the points facing outward, overlapping each one. Press the overlapping dough firmly to seal it together.

STEP THREE: Spoon the filling onto the widest part of the dough, making a full circle. Place cheese slices over the meat filling. Now fold the pointed ends over the top and tuck them under, pressing each one as you go to seal it.

STEP FOUR: Bake for 18 minutes or until golden brown.

STEP FIVE: Remove from oven. Brush lightly with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve with some shredded lettuce and fry sauce for dipping and enjoy!

Tips for Success
- If you’re not going to finish the ring with sesame seeds, brush the top of the dough with an egg wash before baking to achieve a beautiful, shiny presentation.
- Ensure the dough is at room temperature when you begin, making it easier to work with.
- While you don’t HAVE to use a baking stone or pizza pan, the presentation is much prettier on a round pan! You can also use a piece of parchment paper on the pan for easier clean-up later.
- Yes, you can substitute ground turkey or chicken for the beef if that’s your preference.
- Grilled onions make a fantastic addition to this crescent roll ring!

Can I Make a Crescent Roll Ring in Advance?
Partly! You can cook the meat and combine it with the other filling ingredients a day or two in advance, then refrigerate. However, the crescent roll dough definitely needs to be prepared on the day of. Once the canned dough is open, it will begin to dry out pretty quickly.

What IS a Crescent Roll Ring?
The crescent roll ring gained popularity when Pampered Chef began using Pillsbury’s crescent roll dough recipes to showcase their baking stone at home parties. Equipment
- Parchment Paper (optional)
Ingredients
- 16 ounces refrigerated crescent rolls (2 tubes)
- 1 pound ground beef
- ¾ cup ketchup
- ¼ cup yellow mustard
- ¼ cup dill pickles finely chopped
- 4 slices cheddar cheese cut in half
- 2 tablespoons butter melted, for garnish
- ½ tablespoon sesame seeds for garnish
- Lettuce shredded, for serving
- Fry sauce for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Grab a 12-inch round pizza pan and, if desired, line it with parchment paper. Otherwise, leave the pan ungreased. Set aside.
- Place a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the ground beef until browned and no longer pink, breaking up the meat as it cooks. Use a paper towel to soak up any excess grease in the skillet.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the ketchup, mustard, and pickles until well combined. Set aside to cool slightly.
- Place a 6-inch wide bowl upside down on the prepared pizza pan. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate each tube into triangles. Arrange the triangles in a circle around the bowl, with the larger ends towards the center. They should overlap halfway, creating the shape of a sun. Seal the overlapping dough edges together by pressing them firmly.
- Spoon the ground beef mixture in a ring over the wider end of the crescent rolls. Then cut the cheese slices in half and place them over the meat. Remove the bowl from the center.
- Fold the narrow end of each triangle over the filling and carefully tuck it under the inside dough edge to secure. The filling will not be fully covered and will show between the dough pieces.*Tip: I found it easier to fold over 1 dough triangle at a time, and gently tuck it under with a fork or butterknife.
- Bake for 18 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven. One at a time, brush each pastry section with melted butter and then sprinkle with sesame seeds. This will help the seeds stick before the butter soaks into the crust.
- Place a bowl of fry sauce or your favorite dipping sauce in the center of the ring. Arrange shredded lettuce around the bowl and serve.
