Creamy, fresh-tasting, and bubbly. This delicious Blackberry Vanilla Italian Soda is so easy to make and my kids love ’em!
There is just something amazing about a really tasty drink. As much as I love food, and am a total foodie at heart, I sometimes prefer to drink my calories instead of eating them. And this Blackberry Vanilla Italian soda is a fantastic way to drink my calories.
Plus it is super easy to make. And there are endless options and varieties for making it fit your preference. I absolutely love to make Italian Sodas at parties as they are perfect for all ages, and can be easily and quickly customized to fit preference. An Italian soda bar is always fun for BBQs or get-togethers.
So let’s get to how easy they are to make:
You start with a glass, fill it with ice, crushed or cubed.
Then pour the seltzer water over the ice, and fill the glass to 3/4 the way full
For this Italian soda, I wanted to use 1 flavor syrup, and some mashed up fresh fruit to give it some extra fun flavor. So I took some blackberries, and used a fork to mash them up. Then I added it to the seltzer water.
You can skip this step if you don’t want chunks of fruit, and use a flavoring syrup instead, but for this particular Italian soda I opted to use fresh fruit instead of two flavor syrups.
Add the cream, if you want a lighter version you can add half and half or milk. It is still going to taste great. I love using cream because it has a fuller flavor, but either will work fine.
Add the flavor syrup. You can adjust the amount for your personal preference. I like about a tablespoon.
Garnish with fresh fruit and enjoy!
It is just that simple, but in case you want a visual, in this video, I make a Raspberry Cream Soda, and show you how quickly these drinks whip up!
I hope you love it as much as we do!
