New Year’s Eve is just around the corner. I’m so excited. This year I get to spending it with family and college friends. It’s gonna be a great night of catching up, laughs and lots of food and drinks. I was doing research on cocktails for New Year’s Eve and cam across this French 77 and a few others. It reminds me of visiting my Mom and Dad. My Mom introduced me to St. Germain a few years ago. It’s an elderflower liqueur. She adds it to a glass of champagne and it tastes great. We’ve always stopped there but this drink adds the lemon juice that adds a freshness and balances out the sweetness.. I have gold dusting sugar from a cake decorating shop that I’ve never used. I thought it would be perfect for rimming the champagne flutes. Doesn’t it just scream New Year’s?! I’m so excited to toast the new year with this beautiful drink this year.
