There are many fall trends that make this upcoming season super exciting and I’m sharing 5 EASY FALL TRENDS TO TRY that are super easy to wear this season!
With all that fashion has to offer this upcoming season, shiny patent leather coats, socks with strappy heels, stacked heels, corsets, and sequins, not all are a match made in heaven for the everyday woman unless you have your own reality show – ha! With that said, there ARE some easier trends that can quickly give your look an update in a flash!
LEOPARD
It’s one of my favorite colors and it’s a color other people shy away from, repeat after me: WEAR LEOPARD AS A NEUTRAL.
Yup, think of them and wear as you would a pair of khaki pants, a grey coat, black ballet flats, etc. Yes, that leopard skirt works wonders with your white tee, button up, or sweater.
Yes, pattern mixing is still in and leopard looks great with floral prints, stripes, and bright colors.
I could write on and on about this…
VELVET
I’m excited for this one. Velvet is so smooth and soft and I love that it’s making a comeback.
But as I discuss this trend for fall with friends, they worry the trend is a little outdated for them…
STAWWP, I’m not asking you to pull out your old velvet top from the 90s. I’m asking you to purchase items that (1) you can wear often and (2) it won’t scream “I’m old”.
Invest in a cool pair of velvet booties, velvet leggings, velvet purse, and choker. YES, you most likely DID wear a velvet choker in the 90s and if you still have it – kudos. This is too irresistible to not work on a date night, all the cool kids are doing it, including yours truly.
Check out my DIY Velvet Choker, here. ps. ALL chokers are a big hit this fall – go for it!
NECK TIE
Wait, whooooooaaaa, I am NOT asking you to break into your husband’s collection of father’s day memorabilia, but instead, opt for shirts that tie around the neck and if that’s too big of a commitment, work a scarf.
That’s right, fake the bow blouse and tie a scarf around your neck for an easy turtle neck vibe.
If you want to take even smaller steps, grab some ribbon from your craft room and tie it around the collar of your blouse.
MILITARY
You may have stopped reading when you got to the header. NO, I’m not asking you to wear camo but I’m asking you to give the military shade of green a try!
You can also wear this like you would leopard – AS A NEUTRAL. Fun fact: Most of the casual-wear we wear day to day came from military uniforms, like t-shirts and khakis, but push this look with flats and cool coats and even skirts to polish this rough and tough hue!
BLUE
Shades of blue are all over the runway but I’m personally a huge fan of navy.
Whatever shade of blue you choose, sky blue, royal blue, blue-blue, cerulean, you can’t go wrong!
(Red, burnt orange, and yellow mustard are also winners if you feel like branching out.)
As mentioned earlier, there are many fun trends this fall season has to offer and hopefully, these five will help refresh and inspire this season’s wardrobe.
What trends are you excited to try this season? What trend are you gonna try that’s not mentioned in the post?
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
