Summer is ending and we’re getting ready to celebrate Labor Day! Growing up we always had some kind of celebration because my Dad’s birthday generally falls on that weekend. This year we’re celebrating a milestone birthday for him. The party is even bigger this year celebrating my youngest nephew turning 1 a couple of weeks ago and my oldest little guy turning 11 in a few days. The whole family is getting together for a weekend of sailing/eating! I’ve been thinking of simple dishes to make that we can just pop in our mouths here and there! I wanted to come up with a recipe that used ingredients that we just have on hand in the kitchen. Crock Pot Honey BBQ Hot Dog Bites were the perfect answer!!! I always have Hebrew National Hot Dogs in the fridge, and honey, BBQ sauce and sriracha in the pantry!
I made up a batch to test before the big weekend and they were amazing! We ended up having them for dinner with some added bell pepper and rice. It was super good! I like using my recipe for Honey Barbecue Sauce but you can use whatever you have on hand. I always use Hebrew National Hot Dogs because they taste the best. They’re made 100% Kosher premium cuts of beef, so I feel comfortable serving them up to my family and honestly my kids won’t eat other hot dogs! 🙂
You guys, did you see the video I did with Hebrew National? I had so much fun hanging out with them and talking about why I like to serve my family Hebrew National Hot Dogs! I also talked about my favorite sides to serve up with hot dogs. We had a blast, check it out on Facebook or click the image below, then come back and make a batch of Crock Pot Honey BBQ Hot Dog Bites!
