Jumpstart your morning with a healthy, fiber-packed, protein-rich SLIMMING GREEN SMOOTHIE!
Green smoothies are one of my favorite ways to start the day. And even though they are green, they can have so many different flavor profiles. Have a favorite fruit? Throw it in. Want to try a different green? Add it. I love to stick with spinach as it is pretty mild and my kids love it, but kale, chard, and other greens work well too!
I know that when January rolls around we are all filling a little bloated and gross from all the holiday indulging, so having a low-calorie, high-fiber, and totally delicious breakfast smoothie to help you slim down and feel great can be a real plus.
This smoothie offers a refreshing flavor, and all the benefits of greens and fresh produce, in a quick and easy form. My kids even love it! Sometimes I will add in an extra banana to sweeten it up a little for the kids or leave out the celery. But trust me, this is a good one!
I also use a flavorless protein supplement to add some extra oomph to it. This is especially great for my kids, as protein helps with brain function. Another option is to use coconut water in place of the water. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with this, and adjusting it to personal preference is just so easy!

I have a question. 1 and 1/2 whole pineapples? Or 1 and 1/2 CUPS pineapple. I’m thinking its cups but want to make sure.
Angel Lasky says
also would love to know… I dont think its an entire pineapple though. I wouldn’t even be able to eat just one pineapple let alone a smoothie with an entire pineapple. Although there are 4 servings.. :/

Hello Rachel,
In your recipe for the Slimming Green Smoothie one of the ingredients is listed as 1 1/2 pineapple – do you mean 1 1/2 cups
of pineapple chunks or actually one & one half entire pineapples?
Thank you,
Diane
Rachael Y says
Yes 1 1/2 cups, thanks! Sorry about that
