Tips for Success
- Fresh or frozen strawberries can be used in this recipe, but if you use fresh berries, be sure to freeze them before making this cocktail.
- Pimm’s has a low ABV, which makes it perfect for day drinking and for adding to other spirits, such as vodka or rum, for a boozier drink.
- As written, the recipe only makes two drinks, but it’s perfect for making in a pitcher, so be sure to multiply the ingredient amounts by how many drinks you want to serve and make a large batch for easy entertaining!

What is Pimm’s made of?
Pimm’s No. 1 was initially marketed as a “digestif” and a health drink when it was first released in the late 1800s. The mix of botanical gin, fruits, flowers, and herbs is slightly bitter, which plays incredibly well with various juices, sparkling drinks, and even champagne. The low alcohol volume makes it the perfect drink for watching long Wimbledon matches and enjoying hot summer days in the South, where Pimm’s is still incredibly popular, and a Pimm’s Cup is a must-have staple.

What is a Pimm’s Cup?
If you research Pimm’s, you will undoubtedly find that the drink Pimm’s Cup is the most famous way of drinking Pimm’s. This classic cocktail features Pimm’s No. 1, lemonade, ginger ale or ginger beer, and various garnishes like cucumbers, mint, borage, strawberries, or orange slices. The Pimm’s Cup is the official drink of Wimbledon, as mentioned above, and is also a beloved cocktail in New England and New Orleans.
