This Raspberry Limeade is a refreshing and tasty drink that works for any summer occasion. It can be served kid friendly or with tequila for the grown ups.
We had friends over the other day on a work night. Our husbands have a shifted work week so sometimes when we get together it doesn’t fall onto a weekend. This particular night was one of those occasions. My friend TJ had to get up early the next day to catch her train into work and I wasn’t sure if she’d want a drink. I wanted to be able to serve something that was flexible. If she wasn’t going to drink I didn’t want her to feel left out. In the past there were times that we had friends over with kids. I like to have a special drink for everyone to get in on. This Raspberry Limeade is the perfect flexible summer drink!
The fresh flavors of the raspberries and lime juice is killer in the summer! I can’t get enough fresh fruits and veggies this time of year. I also love how vibrant the colors are in this drink! It’s almost hot pink!!!! Then you throw the verdant (yeah I used a big word 🙂 ) limes in there and you get this beautiful pitcher of bright summer, contrasting colors!!! I like to use frozen raspberries in there too to help keep the drink cold without watering it down. If you don’t live in an area where raspberries are EVERYWHERE, you can use frozen raspberries for this and save some cash. 🙂
