Perfectly poppable, whip up these super flavorful MINI TURKEY MEATBALLS for your next holiday party!
I dunno about you guys, but Christmas is kind of my fave ever holiday. There is so much cheer, and cooking, and baking, and get-togethers, and parties, and just straight-up love. Good times.
When I’m getting ready to host my own shindig, you know I am breaking out my best, as well as my easiest, appetizers. Kind of like these adorable Mini Turkey Meatballs.
These itty bitty poppable bites of pure joy are loaded with flavor. A little bit country, and a little bit rock and roll. In food speak, aaaaaaaaaaamazing. They have a little bit of a kick to them, thanks to some hot sauce, onion, and ginger paste, but the heat can always be adjusted, especially with the hot sauce. We go all out with some habañero hot sauce in my house, but you can go mild with some simple taco sauce if you want.
I love how simple this recipe is, as well. Just dump all the ingredients in a big bowl, squish it together with your hands, roll into a bunch of little balls, and fry them up in a big skillet. Ready in less than 30! Whaaaaaaaat! Totally not kidding, they are really that easy.
That’s why they are perfect for holiday parties!
Serve them with a little dish of extra hot sauce, or something a little more fun like avocado-ranch. Dip, pop, nom!
- In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients together and mix by hand until thoroughly combined.
- Using roughly 2 teaspoons of the mixture, roll into small balls until all the mixture has been used.
- In a large, high-sided skillet, heat around 2 inches of oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs, working in batches, frying until cooked through, turning occasionally, around 10 minutes.
- Remove cooked meatballs and place on a paper towel to drain. Skewer with toothpicks and serve with a dipping sauce of choice on the side.
