JALAPENO INFUSED VODKA is for people who like a little kick in their cocktails. You can use this to spice up your Bloody Marys or your Mules!
When we lived in Arizona we had a garden. I felt pretty proud of myself being able to grow my tomatoes, bell peppers, squash, cucumbers, and eggplant in the middle of the dessert! It was so fantastic to be able to walk around to the side of my house and grab what I needed to make dinner. Then we went out of town once and it all died. We had a problem with our watering system and even though we were only gone for a long weekend that was enough in the dessert to wipe out most of my garden. Most but not all. We had also planted jalapeno peppers. They are tough! They can handle a little drought like nobody’s business. I started to get so many that I couldn’t use them all and I was giving them away and freezing them and making lots and lots of salsa, and poppers. I mean if you were to do a quick search here on Real Housemoms you’re going to find a TON of jalapeno recipes. I even have a Bacon Jalapeno Popper Bloody Mary! Now, I didn’t make my own Jalapeno Infused Vodka when I developed that recipe but I remember thinking how simple it would be to make my own.

So, eight months later I finally have. There is really no excuse for it taking me so long. It was so easy and now I can’t wait to make so many other flavors of vodka!!! I have a delicious drink coming to you next week that will use this vodka but really it’s so versatile. A Bloody Mary just screams for Jalapeno Infused Vodka or you could make this and give it as a gift along with the rest of the ingredients for a drink. Serve this in a signature cocktail at your next party and your friends will be talking about it for months!
- 750 ml of vodka
- 2 jalapenos deseeded and sliced
- place jalapenos into a glass bottle that will hold more than 750 ml
- pour the vodka over the sliced peppers
- store in a cool, dark place for one week
- strain peppers out of vodka and enjoy!
