Typically a good cocktail sauce is sweet and tangy. And while I love the store-bought sauce, sometimes you may not have it handy or you may want to customize the sauce to your specific tastes. That was the case when we set out to create a new cocktail sauce recipe.

Cocktail Sauce Ingredients

This homemade cocktail sauce is made with

  • Ketchup
  • Prepared horseradish
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Soy sauce
  • Black pepper
  • Hot sauce, to taste

Now we tend to like things on the spicier side, so we added more hot sauce to ours. But the lovely thing about creating your own cocktail sauce is you can start with our base recipe and make it your own. If you like sweet and mild, you can completely leave the hot sauce out!
