Sometimes when you are attempting to stick to a routine that restricts the kinds of food you eat, you just want to pop something in your mouth that tastes like it’s bad for you. One cheesecake fat bomb is enough to trick your brain into thinking that you are indulging in something that is not on your list of approved foods. The good news however is that this fat bomb recipe is entirely approved and sure to kick your sweet cravings to the curb.
WHAT IS A FAT BOMB?
A fat bomb is basically a keto-friendly energy boost! These low-carb/high-fat indulgences will give you that extra fuel you need to power through any part of the day. They also help to satisfy cravings and are the perfect snack, meal replacement, or dessert!
Cream Cheese – Cream cheese acts as a healthy fat in the base of these keto cheesecake fat bombs.
Peanut Butter – To keep these fat bombs low-carb, we’re using sugar-free peanut butter instead of regular.
Heavy Cream – Beating the heavy cream into the other ingredients makes the texture light and fluffy instead of dense.
Powdered Erythritol – Just 3 tablespoons of this powdered sugar alternative will add the perfect amount of sweetness and keep these bombs low-carb.
HOW TO MAKE PEANUT BUTTER FAT BOMBS
- First, line a baking sheet with parchment paper in preparation for the fat bombs.
- Start by combining all of the ingredients into a mixing bowl.
- Continue by beating all of the ingredients together until they are smooth and creamy.
- Now, with a medium-sized cookie scoop, portion out the cream cheese peanut butter fat bombs on the baking sheet in bite-size scoops.
- Freeze fat bombs for 30 minutes before enjoying.
HOW MANY FAT BOMBS CAN YOU HAVE ON KETO?
You won’t need too many cream cheese fat bombs because they tend to be pretty satisfying! Generally speaking 1-3 fat bombs a day would be plenty.
The number of bombs you eat in a day may also depend on what you are using them for. You may grab a bomb or two for breakfast on the go, or pop one in the afternoon if you need an energy boost. You may also whip up a batch to enjoy a sweet bite after dinner.
If you are on keto, your daily diet probably consists of 70-80% fat and probably just around 10% carbs with the remainder consisting of protein. One cheesecake fat bomb has 2.5 grams of carbs so you can decide how many a day is the right number for you.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF A KETO FAT BOMB?
A fat bomb might sound like a dangerous dessert but keto fat bombs are actually beneficial and serve a real purpose! Think of keto fat bombs as an energy bar. These bombs are low in carbs and high in fats– the good kind!
Because these are high in fat, it takes longer for our bodies to break down. This slower digestive response actually helps us feel fuller for longer and also keeps blood sugar levels stable. These good fats can even help to lower bad cholesterol!

Just curious how many fat bombs you make from this recipe? You listed the nutritional info so I’m wondering about the portion size.
I divided it into 12 bombs. Also, I left the sweetener out. I am finding that even the sugar substitutes make me crave sweets. Delicious recipe, thanks for sharing!

I made these for a friend who is on the Keto Diet. He has lost just over 50lbs so far. I decided he could use a test. I also made them with regular peanut butter & powered sugar for myself.
Excuse the pun but these are the BOMB!!!!!
