Screwy Banana Cocktail

Screwy Banana Cocktail is a fun and refreshing twist on a Screw Driver!

A few weeks ago, my good friend from Denmark came for a visit. Whenever she’s here, we end up spending long hours reminiscing about “the good old days” when we were in high school. Of course, we always have a cocktail on hand.

This time, she shared one of her favorite cocktail recipes – the Screwy Banana. The name is kind of funny and gets its name because it’s like a Screw Driver mixed with banana. It’s a delicious concoction of orange, lemon, lime and banana – almost like a mixed up fruit bowl.

I loved how refreshing this cocktail was. The punch of citrus really offset the sweet banana flavor. Before we knew it, we had finished the entire pitcher!

We laughed all night about the silly things we did back then and, she filled me in on all of her adventures in Denmark (did you know that’s the home of LEGO?). It’s been 20+ years since we graduated high school, but somehow, when we get together, it’s like only a few days have gone by.

The recipe below is for a single serving but this cocktail can easily be increased to make a pitcher.
