If you’re planning or attending an Irish-themed bash for St. Patrick’s Day, consider making these easy and indulgent 4-ingredient Irish Cream Mousse Cups recipe. It makes a perfect sweet treat or bite-sized dessert, no utensils needed!
When it comes to low-stress party planning, simplicity is key, at least for me. I usually have this last-minute fear that I won’t have enough food prepared, so I like having a few quick recipes on hand in case I need to whip something up at a moment’s notice!
These Irish Cream Mousse Cups are one of my favorite desserts to make in a time crunch because they take a little effort to make, they’re fun to eat, and they look absolutely adorable.
The chocolate cups are actually bought at the store (shhh, don’t tell anyone!), or you can make your own. To make the mousse, just whip heavy cream, confectioner’s sugar, instant vanilla pudding powder, and Irish Cream in a mixer until light and fluffy. Pipe the mousse into the chocolate cups, and you have a beautiful, decadent dessert in less than 10 minutes. If you really want to go crazy, add sprinkles for a festive touch!
The finished product is rich and boozy with the satisfying combination of crunchy chocolate shell and silky mousse. They can easily be served at a sit-down meal or buffet table, and are the perfect way to end the evening after a traditional dinner of cabbage and corn beef.

Irish Cream Mousse Cups
- 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup Irish Cream store-bought or homemade
- 1/4 cup confectioner's sugar
- 2 tablespoons instant vanilla pudding mix
- 12 mini chocolate cups or 6 large
Add heavy cream, Irish Cream, sugar, and pudding mix to a large bowl or stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment and beat on high for 2 to 3 minutes until light and fluffy. Pipe mousse into chocolate cups and top with chocolate sprinkles if desired.
