Caprese Salsa combines all the flavors of Caprese salad in a delicious dip that’s perfect for summer!
I’ll never forget the first time I had caprese salad. It was at a friend’s apartment, just after we had graduated from college, and I remember thinking it was soooo fancy! I’m not sure if it was really the caprese, or the fact that her apartment was fancy, or the fact that she was fancy. But whatever it was, to this day, caprese always feels special. It’s one of my favorite Mediterranean foods, right alongside olive tapenade and just as easy to make!
Which is perfect, if you think about it, because who doesn’t want something a little fancy for summer parties and get-togethers? Especially when that something is so quick and easy to whip up. Of course, everyone loves caprese salad, but when it comes to parties, there’s nothing better than a delicious dip. People go crazy for dips! And this Caprese Salsa has so much going for it. Made with simple, fresh ingredients like tomatoes, basil, onions, and fresh mozzarella, it’s exactly what I want to eat all summer long. It’s the quintessential summer dip….and couldn’t be more delicious.
Best of all, it’s ready in just 5 minutes. Maybe 10, if you’re making a double batch. And….it’s made with ingredients you can grow right in your own garden! Which obviously makes it that much more amazing. So whether you’re already a caprese lover or in the process of becoming one, this recipe is for you. Guaranteed to feel at least a little fancy, even though it will take you no time at all. To be honest, I see this becoming my go-to summer dip. And yours, too! Because caprese is one of those things you come back to ALL summer long. And Caprese Salsa? Well, that’s just a no brainer….don’t you agree?
