CHIA BERRY SMOOTHIE is a such a delicious way to start the day! Full of vitamins from the fruit and fiber from the chia seeds!
I’m loving my smoothies! I got a new blender for Christmas and it’s been fantastic! My last blender wasn’t very strong so I had a hard time making smoothies. I went and stocked my freezer with all finds of frozen fruit and now I’m going to town. I’ve already told you about my love of sliced bananas in the Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream post. I also throw them into my smoothies too! That way I don’t end up with a chest freezer of just bananas.
I made this Chia Berry Smoothie the other day and it was great! I love adding chia seeds to my smoothies. They have tons of fiber and protein. They tend to get a bit slimy when they get wet so I like them best in my smoothie rather than in juice. I did have a juice one that tasted great but had chia seeds added in and Ihad to just gulp it down. It’s completely a texture thing for me. In my smoothies though I don’t notice it and I can get some protein into my breakfast!

I make my smoothie with 1 c. Almond milk, blueberries, flavored greek yogurt, chia seeds, golden flax seeds and 1 banana ; other times all ingredients but the blueberries and I add a 1 TB almond butter if I know I am going to be busy and late for lunch that day, it tides me over……
