These STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE KABOBS take all the flavors you know and love in strawberry shortcake and put them in a convenient couple of bites. Plus, they are cute and perfect for entertaining!
I grew up with six kids in my family and the youngest and the oldest are only eight years apart. Crazy, I know. Now that I am a mom, I seriously don’t know how my parents survived some days! On Sundays though, my dad implemented a concept called the “reverence award”. If we were good during all of church, we got to take part in whatever treat my dad made for the day. His treat of choice was most often strawberry shortcake and I was totally okay with that!
My dad would make his strawberry shortcake with biscuits, strawberries, strawberry glaze, and whipped cream. It was amazing and I loved it, but I have since learned that it can be a little labor-intensive. Cue these awesome Strawberry Shortcake Kabobs! Eating them seriously took me back to my seven-year-old self. The greatest part about these, other than how easy they are to put together, is that they are great for serving at parties or get-togethers with friends or family since they are already individually portioned and don’t require a fork!
I made the pound cake in these Strawberry Shortcake Kabobs from scratch, but you could easily pick a pound cake up at the store to save on time. For some added flavor, try drizzling some strawberry glaze or white chocolate over the tops. I really enjoyed these yummy little bites and I hope you like them just as much as I did!

Exactly what I was thinking! I made something similar last weekend… angel food, strawberry, angel food, strawberry, angel food, then drizzled melted chocolate over the whole thing, and out cool whip on the side for dipping. The kids loved it!

How do you get the whipped topping on the skewer? Do you put it on while still frozen and then it defrosts in the refrigerator, maybe?
Megan says
You can just spoon a dollop of whipped topping on top of the cake or strawberry before sliding it on the skewer. Easy 🙂

How did you “skewer” the whipped topping?

I was thinking the same thing, wonder if you could spoon out the portion and freeze it for a little before sliding them on
