Bahn Mi Slaw is inspired by those great tasting Vietnamese sandwiches and works as an amazing topping for hot dogs!!! It’s an easy recipe that everyone will love.
You guys I’m super excited to tell you that I’m partnering with Hebrew National Hot Dogs!!!! Obviously, all the opinions I share with you all are my own. If you follow me on Facebook, you might have seen that I was recently in New York City for a fun trip with Hebrew National for their big Summer Kick Off Event at Ben’s Deli! I had so much fun and got to try some super amazing hot dog recipes and unique toppings! One of the recipes I came up with after the event was a Bahn Mi Slaw Hot Dog. Oh my gosh you guys!!! It was so yummy! We all loved it! This recipe would be perfect for company to really up your hot dog game.
I was really excited when Hebrew National reached out to me about a partnership. That is seriously the only hot dog my kids will eat, you guys. We were visiting my mom and dad one summer and my mom served my little guys another hot dog and my youngest took one bite and wouldn’t eat it anymore. I was total mom and said, “Why aren’t you eating your hot dog? You love hot dogs!” His response was super simple, “No, not these.” They won’t eat anything other than Hebrew National! They don’t know anything but the flavor but for me it’s knowing that I’m serving them great quality meat. I’m not Kosher but I know that because Hebrew National Hot Dogs are Kosher they’re made with premium cuts of beef. They have strict standards about what goes into the hot dogs and how they’re made, so they never use fillers, or mystery meat. I mean how many times have you heard people say they won’t eat a hot dog because they don’t know what’s in it? I like knowing that the hot dog I’m eating and giving my kids is beef and all quality cuts.
This was my first trip to New York and I wasn’t there that long but I got a fun taste of the city and I’m excited to go back sometime with my family to see more. I got to tour around with Jamielyn from I Heart Naptime. I saw Grand Central Station and the Empire State Building and I met some really great people at the event. Chef Billy Parisi came up with some super yummy regionally inspired hot dog recipes that I can’t wait to try. His pretzel wrapped dog for Philadelphia was fantastic and the NYC Dog with pastrami and Kosher Thousand Island dressing was crazy yummy! I can’t wait to share more awesome ideas over the summer with you about how to entertain with hot dogs! Also, make sure that you’re following along with Hebrew National on Facebook so you don’t miss any of the fun recipe ideas to make entertaining this summer a snap!
