Strawberry Watermelon Infused Water is naturally sweet. It makes the perfect refreshing drink for summer!
Melinda and I have been cutting back on sodas and other sugary drinks which means we’ve been drinking a lot of water. We missed having a little flavor to our drinks, so instead of adding artificial sweetener or flavoring we started making infused water. This recipe may be my favorite so far.
With watermelons and strawberries coming into season it is the perfect time to make this simple strawberry watermelon infused water. Use the freshest, sweetest, watermelon and strawberries that you can find. Slice them up into large pieces and place them in a pitcher full of ice water. We also added fresh lime slices to add a little tart to balance out the sweet.
You can drink the water right away but the best part about it is that it just tastes better the longer it sits. The combination of the sweet fruits and the bright lime makes the drink burst with summer flavor. It is perfect for sipping while you sit out on the porch and great to have in the fridge to drink after your afternoon workout. It’s not only delicious it is also beautiful. Serve it at your next party instead of the usual soda.
