Summer Punch
Stay cool by the pool all summer long with a pitcher of Summer Punch, full of sweet refreshing fruit, white wine, and bubbly champagne!

dry white wine
(pinot grigio or sauvignon blanc)

granulated sugar

bartlett pears
cored and sliced
Instructions
Pour the white wine into a large pitcher.
Add the sugar, blueberries, and strawberries to the wine. Stir until the sugar has dissolved and let chill overnight, or at least 2 hours.
Just before serving add the pears and champagne.
Notes
This punch can be served immediately over ice. Pre-chilling the wine and champagne is recommended for the best flavor.
You can peel the pears for a red, white, and blue look for holiday celebrations of leave the skins on.
