Ingredients

  • 3 cups Whole Milk
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder Preferably Dutch Processed or any good quality Cocoa Powder
  • 5 oz Semi-sweet Dark Chocolate Chopped
  • pinch salt
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract (Optional)
  • Whipping Cream For Topping
  • Marshmallow For Topping

Instructions

  • In a deep saucepan add milk, cocoa powder, sugar, salt. Mix well until there is no lump. 
  • Bring to a boil, then lower the heat. Add chopped chocolate.  Using a whisk mix well until chocolate has completely melted. 
  • Switch off the flame. Add Vanilla Extract if using. 
  • While serving to top it with whipped cream and mini marshmallows. 

Notes

Keep your hot chocolate warm in a slow cooker for holiday parties! Set to WARM and use a ladle to portion.
