How to Cook Bacon in the Oven

Preheat oven to 400°F. Position oven rack in center of the oven.
Cover a large baking sheet in parchment paper or foil. If using an oven-safe rack, position on a baking sheet. Lay bacon slices in a single layer directly on a baking sheet or on a rack, making sure to not overlap.
Bake for 15-25 minutes, depending on desired crispiness and thickness of the bacon. Flipping bacon halfway through is optional, although I find it cooks both sides more evenly.
Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to cool and absorb any extra grease.
Freezing / Reheating Bacon:
Cooked bacon can also be frozen for later use. Wrapped drained, cooled bacon in wax paper and store in a freezer-safe bag. To reheat, place frozen bacon on a paper towel-lined sheet and microwave for 20-30 seconds.
