Add ice, pumpkin pie syrup, and espresso to a large glass.
Pour in the milk and stir to combine.
Top with whipped cream and pumpkin pie spice if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
If you don't have an espresso or Nespresso machine to make the espresso in, a french press with bold roast espresso will work. If you're really in a pinch you can use instant espresso.
If you are unable to find the pumpkin pie flavored Torani syrup you can use 1 ½ ounces of simple syrup mixed with ¼ teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice extract instead.
If you want to increase the pumpkin flavor without increasing sweetness, you can add ¼ teaspoon of pumpkin pie flavor extract in addition to the Torani syrup.
Starbucks pumpkin syrup is actually more like a sauce. It's made with sugar, sweetened condensed milk, and pumpkin puree. I have tried making versions of it at home but find it always leaves the latte with a less than desirable texture. Plus it’s not shelf-stable. If you really want a sauce option instead of flavored syrup, I would recommend using Torani Pumpkin Pie Sauce instead.
