Turkey a la King with Cheddar Waffles
This Turkey a la King uses leftover Thanksgiving turkey and veggies that you have on hand from making Thanksgiving. It can be made ahead of time and reheated easily so it's perfect for entertaining guests!

cornmeal

buttermilk

club soda

Instructions
Cheddar Waffles
In a large bowl combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder, baking soda, and salt
add in cheese and pecans and stir
beat eggs in a small bowl and add buttermilk, club soda and vegetable oil
pour into flour mixture and stir until just combined
grease a preheated waffle iron and spoon on mixture
cook just like a normal waffle
remove and repeat until all batter is cooked
keep warm in the oven at 170 degrees or freeze and reheat in the oven or toaster when ready to serve.
Turkey a la King
melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over med heat
add bell peppers, onion and mushrooms into the butter and cook until softened, 3-5 minutes
add in white wine and allow to cook and mushrooms to absorb the liquid
add in remaining 3 Tablespoons of butter and sprinkle with flour mixing in and allow to cook for a min or two
slowly whisk in the broth once combined and no lumps add in heavy cream
stir constantly until sauce begins to bubble and thickens
serve immediately or put in an air tight container and store in the fridge until ready to eat and reheat on the stove in a sauce pan
pour over cheddar waffles and enjoy!
